Increasing incomes and savings is critical in achieving economic growth and improving overall standard of living of individuals. However, in order to sustain this growth, availability and affordability of basic services is necessary for overall social development. Provision of health-care, education, eradication of water poverty, sanitation and hygiene, as well as presence of infrastructure such as roads and markets, are factors closely interlinked with economic progress. To add on natural resource management also contributes towards the ecological uplift of the community. Accordingly, several initiatives have been launched within each of the aforementioned sectors so that communities can experience sustainable growth. These factors also help in contributing towards the lowering of monthly expenses which further helps in empowering the rural communities to improve their lives.
