OSDI aims to reduce energy and fuel expenditures in the focused villages by discouraging dependency on high-cost sources and introducing ecologically friendly renewable options such as bio-gas and solar energy. Solar Panels are implanted in the focused communities of district Lasbela and Mardan; where there is no electricity available. The solar energy is being utilized to glow lights, make the fans work and expel water from the summer pump. Moreover, advocacy of adjacent rural communities is also being done to utilize their solar panels for energy consumption. As of now 10 communities have been facilitated with Solar Panels to generate electricity (till 2021).
